Middle School Dances

Begin at 3:30 p.m. and End at 4:45 p.m.

Students are expected to stay the entire time.

Students who attend a 6th, 7th and 8th grade dance will not be permitted to leave until 4:45 p.m. Backpacks and other personal items are safely secured in the P.E. locker rooms. Students must remove ASB card and money from their backpacks before they are secured in the locker room.

Treats and drinks are available at a minimal cost.

Cookies, brownies, candy, chips, bottles water, fruit juices, Gatorade, etc. will be sold during each event. Bills larger than $5.00 will not be accepted.

Students are expected to conduct themselves in an orderly manner.

"Slam dancing," "moshing," "freak dancing," "horseplay," and "running/chasing" are not allowed. Cell phones must remain in student backpacks secured in the locker rooms during the dance.

Students are expected to follow school dress code.

All Dances have a theme. Several examples include Hawaiian, Hollywood Nights, Dancing Through the Decades, and Mardi Gras. Students are encouraged to dress-up for each dance. School dress code rules apply for thematic costumes worn by students. Tennis shoes must be worn by all students who attend Dances. Other shoes will not be permitted as they may damage the gym floor.

Students must be picked up promptly at 4:45 p.m.

Dances are made possible through the voluntary efforts of Travis Ranch Middle School staff and parent chaperones; you can best show your appreciation for their efforts by extending them the courtesy of picking your child up on time. If you are uncertain whether or not you can be on time, please have a contingency plan in place.

Parent chaperones and treat donations are needed.

TRMS parents who would like to chaperone a 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Dance or donate treats/drinks, please contact Cynde Riley at criley@pylusd.org or at 986-7460 ext. 47006.

Note: For the health and safety of students, treats must be store packaged and individually wrapped.

Homemade treats are not permitted.

Please check the Calendar on the ASB webpage for dates of all ASB events.
